Sia Latgran is a Latvian producer of pellets.
Sia Latgran has two production plants, in Jaunjelgava and Jekabpils, with an annual production capacity of up to 200,000 tons. Both plants have been constructed by the company and started in 2005 (Jaunjelgava) and 2008 (Jekabpils) respectively. In all approximately 20 MEUR have been invested in the plants.
Sia Latgran is entirely supplied with raw material from Korsnäs' Latvian forestry. The company's customers are a number of electricity and district heating producers in Sweden, Denmark and other countries in northern Europe.
During 2009, the production amounted to 213,000 tons, compared to 105,000 in 2008.
Kinnevik holds 51% of the equity and the voting interest in the company.
